Born on March 25, 1989, in the bustling city of Atlanta, GA, Cody has taken the music scene by storm with his awe-inspiring vocals and soul-stirring lyrics.

What sets Cody apart from other gospel singers is his unique backstory. Unlike many worship leaders who come from a long line of spiritual leaders, Cody’s father wasn’t in the ministry. However, that didn’t stop Cody from finding his own path toward a spiritual calling.

It was during this time that Cody heard a whisper in his ear, a calling that he could not ignore. He felt the presence of God in his life and knew that he was being called to share his faith through the power of music.

Without hesitation, Cody began to sing, pouring his heart and soul into every note, every melody. His passion for music was matched only by his devotion to his faith, and he knew that he had found his true calling in life.

Cody Carnes moved to Nashville, Tennessee with a guitar in one hand and a dream in the other, determined to make it big in the music industry.

Little did he know that fate had a surprise in store for him in the form of his future wife, Kari Jobe. A chance meeting brought them together and they soon realized that they shared a deep love for music and faith.

Kari was blown away by Cody’s talent and invited him to join her band. As they worked together, their connection grew stronger and they soon found themselves falling in love. They dated for three and a half years, during which time they collaborated on music and continued to support each other’s careers.

Finally, in 2014, they tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony surrounded by friends and family. Their love for each other and their faith in God have been the cornerstone of their marriage, inspiring them to create some of the most powerful and uplifting music in the industry.

In 2014, he dropped an EP that left his fans begging for more. Titled “All He Says I Am,” the album showcased Cody’s raw talent and heartfelt lyrics, cementing his status as a rising star in the Christian music scene.

But Cody was just getting started. In 2017, he signed with Capitol Christian Music Group, one of the most prestigious labels in the industry. With the support of his new team, Cody set out to create his debut album, and he did not disappoint.

The lead single, “The Cross Has the Final Word,” was a powerful anthem that quickly became a fan favorite. The song spoke to the power of faith and redemption, reminding listeners that no matter how dark things may seem, there is always hope on the other side.

Cody poured his heart and soul into every note of the album, creating a collection of songs that spoke to the struggles and triumphs of the human experience. From heart-wrenching ballads to upbeat anthems, each track was a masterpiece in its own right.

It’s been quite a journey for Cody Carnes since he first burst onto the Christian music scene. And in 2020, his hard work and dedication paid off in a big way.

That year, Cody received not one, but two GRAMMY® Award nominations, a huge achievement that is a dream come true for any artist. His studio album, Run To The Father, was recognized as one of the best in the business, while his collaboration with Kari Jobe and Elevation Worship on “The Blessing (Live)” earned him a nod for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song.

But that’s not all – Cody is also a talented songwriter, with a gift for crafting powerful church anthems that resonate with audiences around the world. Tracks like “Nothing Else,” “Run To The Father,” and “Christ Be Magnified” have become staples in the worship community, inspiring countless individuals to deepen their faith and connect with their spirituality.

And Cody is showing no signs of slowing down. He recently dropped a new song, “Too Good To Not Believe,” featuring Brandon Lake, and the response has been overwhelming. The studio version alone racked up more then in less than a week.
